CHILDHOOD MEMORY

I saw a bear following my mom at Yosemite National Park.

I screamed into the distance "there's a bear behind you" to warn her of the bear's presence.

She looked at me and disappeared into the trees. I was terrified.

When she got to the bridge where I was waiting, 

I told her that a bear was following her and that I tried to warn her. 

She looked at me and said "that's what that smell was?"​​​
